Attestations

For attestations, all documents originating from Nigeria must be authenticated first by Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Legal Services Division), Federal Ministry of Education (Evaluation and accreditation department) and UAE Embassy, all located in Abuja, Nigeria, respectively.

Thereafter, applicants are required to submit in person the documents hereunder.  Non – academic documents do not require authentication by the Federal Ministry of Education, Abuja. 

  1. Authenticated certificate(s);
  2. Original certificate (s);
  3. Scratch Card Pin and Serial Number (for WAEC and NECO);
  4. Intl. Passport (for both couple i.e. required for marriage certificate attestation);
  5. Court Affidavit indicating discrepancies if any;
  6. UAE visit/resident visa (copy) and;
  7. Service is charged at AED 100 per document as a processing fee payable to the Embassy.
  • Persons with request for attestation of MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE are required to submit supporting documents from point 1-7 (point 5 is necessary if there are any discrepancies in the document).
